​Dr. Goldenberg is a board certified psychiatrist with more than 35 years of experience helping patients reach their potential for mental health. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has been active with local, state and national psychiatric organizations.  He has been a consultant and speaker/lecturer for a number of pharmaceutical compa​nies and has been an investigator in studies of new medications.

Licensed Nurse Practitioner​

​Bridget Peery is a licensed nurse practitioner with dual Board certifications in psychiatric/mental health and family practice as well as a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider. She is a three-time alumna of Old Dominion University, where she obtained a BA in foreign languages prior to pursuing a career in healthcare, earning a second Bachelors as well as a Masters degree in Nursing. She later completed post-graduate studies for psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner certification at Anderson University in South Carolina. She has extensive experience as a registered nurse in a variety of psychiatric settings, including acute inpatient and medical detox, partial hospitalization, and community mental health.

As a nurse practitioner, her focus is psychiatric medication management in outpatient practice.


Her clinical specialties include, but are not limited to:

  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorders

Other areas of interest include integrative medicine for mental health, an approach to wellness that combines the best available evidence from both biomedicine and complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).

Her practice philosophy is person-centered, and she takes time to connect with patients as unique individuals by seeking to understand their needs and values and by encouraging active engagement in the treatment planning process.
